This mornings court appearance was a scheduling conference to set dates for how the case will progress through the court and it's calender. The killer was not in the courtroom just the attorneys were present. Her attorney informed the court that he has not had time to completely go over all of the evidence with the killer yet and asked that the scheduling conference be adjourned (postponed) to a new date. The judge let both attorneys know he wants this case to move quickly through the process and get a trial date set as soon as possible, he did however agree to adjourn the scheduling conference tell October 9th, 2008 at 8:30am.
The judge also called the case on the record and informed both attorneys that he knew a person that was quoted in the paper regarding the case. That person is not set to be called as a witness and will not create a need for him to remove himself from the case. Both attorneys agreed that his knowing the person quoted in the paper should not be a problem.

Hi Steve, I'm from Michigan and I want to thank you so much for what you are doing. All of the people here that loved Mikey would love to be there for all the court dates, but that isnt possible for most of us.You are Micky's angel! Thank you again.Letting the killer know this isnt going to just blow away in the wind does my heart good.
Hi there, Mike was a client of our office, and he always brought a smile with him when he opened our door. He will be sorely missed. Thank you so much for taking the time to dedicate this website in his memory. Mike was a wonderful person who left a lot of sad folks behind. Everyone in our office appreciates you posting updates to the case since we can't be there in person. The only comfort we can take from this is knowing that Mike was welcomed up above by Charlie, who also brought a smile to everyone's faces when the door opened.
